Weekly Report - Sunday 22nd of August

After Doons' recent win against Bruree in the Senior B competition they have now been drawn to play against Bruff in the semi final. The boys will need to pick up the pace as senior silverware would be very well received in the club. We wish the boys the best in their preperations for september 12.
our Junior a and B's had a combined challenge match against Broadford Clare on Saturday evening at 6 pm. It was a very lively match with many outstanding performances from Daniel Landers, James Power, Eoin Hanley, Colm Cummins and Shane Mckenna.  Doon opened the scoring with points from Denis Barry, Shane Mckenna and Colm Cummins. Eoin hanley and james Power were dominant at midfield while Tom Murphy was a stalwart at full back. He was ably assisted by James nolan and seamus Brennan.Doon opened the scoring with well taken points from Colm Cummins, Denis Barry and the industrious Brian Sheehy. Eoin Hanley and james Powerr were dominating midfield while daniel Landers was immense at centre back. In the full backline the ever reliable Tom Murphy commanded proceedings ably assisted by Seamus Brennan and James Nolan. A cracking goal by Shane McKenna on the twenty minute mark follwed by a majestic over the shoulder point from Steffie O' Donnell sent doon in with a very healthy lead at half time.
A rash of changes at half time unsettled Doon in the opening minutes but berrnard crowe, Jason and Roger Ryan and Thomas McLoughlin soon settled the team and began to dominate. Doon ran out comfortable winners on the night.
