2013 marks a special year for Doon GAA Club as it’s our 125th year. A specially dedicated committee are working on a number of events, tournaments, games and initiatives to take place through the year, including not just our own GAA community, but the extended community, neighbours and friends from near and far.

We will kick-off this special year on New Year’s Day with a 5 mile Road Run/Walk. Registration will open at the GAA Clubhouse from 12midday on New Year’s Day, with walkers heading off at 1pm and runners starting at 2pm. To add a competitive edge, we will have prizes for the first few people past the finish line. Taking in the townslands of Clonlusk, Gurtavalla, Kilmoylan and Cooga, it will be just what you need on New Year’s Day – some fresh air and a good community catch-up. So the countdown begins and this is plenty of notice for you to dust off your running/walking gear. Keep an eye on our website for more details www.doon.limerick.gaa.ie and for further events as they are confirmed in the coming months.
